Aidan La Poche is a playwright and director born and raised in New York City.
Aidan’s work has been developed at Playwrights Horizons Downtown, NYU Tisch, the Broke People Play Festival, Irvington Theater, IRT Theater with ALab Theater Festival, and The Tank. His play Modelland was performed at the Vineyard’s Dimson Theater as part of the 49th Annual Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival. He was a finalist for the 2024 Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival for Daughters of the Ruling Class, and a semi-finalist for the Jewish Plays Project with Barbra Streisand. Aidan staged Daughters of the Ruling Class at The Stranger NYC, a nightclub on 57th street, marking the club’s first foray into theatrical performance.
Most recently, his play Dennis, a contemporary adaptation of Euripides’ The Bacchae, completed a sold-out run at 255 Canal Street.
